This project was where I first started developing the visual language of “spirits” as characters. I played with masks, carved faces, and tiki-inspired motifs, treating each drawing as a quick character design experiment to see how far I could push expression and personality through rough brushwork. It’s more raw than the later series, but that’s what I like about it. It’s the foundation of everything that came after
